Are Music Tapes Dead - a hotel in looe thinks otherwise!
So going on holiday is about many things. Relaxing, taking time to spend with your friends and family that you have chosen to take with you, generally relaxing and doing the things that you want to do. In my case one of things is listen to music. I am a little old school it is true, and will take sound over TV any day. I did a search for hotels in looe, and after booking somewhere went down there with my family. When I got to the hotel I found a musical surprise waiting for me!
Now Looe is a quaint little town. Based in Cornwall it is a sweet little place that really does give you space and time to relax, unwind and generally just completely relax. What I found in this particular Looe hotel was unusual though. As well as providing each room with a tv (which I always ignore) and a kettle for hot drinks, they had also provided me with a tape player and access to a whole plethora of tapes! Now there are many people who think that tapes are a by gone product, that they are no longer useful or relevant to todays human being. I beg to differ! The tape player was not only great, more importantly the collection of music that I suddenly had access to was overwhelmingly good!
You see most people just get rid of their tapes once they are done with them. What this hotel in looe had done was in fact to gather up all the really inexpensive tapes that were available on the market, and offer them as music to their guests. Genius! I have never been anywhere that offered a huge music library to choose from. They even had walkmans so that you could take your chosen tape on a stroll with you if you so chose to.
Are tapes dead? I think not! As this little place in Looe proved, not only are they not dead, for that place they have proven to be a real selling point for the hotel. Personally I would defiantly go back there again, for the unique access to a tape collection like none I have ever seen before if nothing else!
